I am so so afraid right now. I am listening to Matthew whining in his crib, instead of sleeping, which is what he is SUPPOSED to be doing! And it is the third time he has done this in the last couple of weeks. I am not ready for this child to stop taking naps. NOT READY!! I realize I am being a bit dramatic, but this child's nap time is a time that I cherish each day. He is a rascal and is almost constantly into some mischief and his nap is the only time during the day that I can relax and not worry that he is, oh maybe....

-pushing the lamp off the end table and breaking it (to reach the tube of Desitin. He likes to chew on it. Don't ask me why.)

-Swirling his toothbrush in the toilet

-Prying the keys off the laptop and CHEWING on them. I told Jonny not to leave it open. (I just said "I told you so" - very mature). Takes 8 weeks and $100 to fix since he actually broke the whole keyboard.

-Digging through the bathroom drawer to find Emma's clips, opening them, and sticking the metal parts into electrical outlets

You get the picture.

Oh yeah, I forgot one -- finding a pile of pheasant poop, yes that's right, in my parent's backyard and smearing it all over his shirt, pants, and hands. Three hand washes and one bath later and he still smelled horrible. He's my little red headed menace and I adore him.

Is this the life I have to look forward to? Life with a little boy?

Oh little boys! I would love to see you! If you don't want to come all the way to Layton we can meet half way at my moms house. Amy Sinks is in her ward and maybe we can get her to come over also. She's either had, or very close to having her baby. Email me your schedule next week and lets try to get together!!

The terrific (and terrible) twos! You have to love them, when you are not hating them anyway. Matty - you are getting verrry sleeepy. Just keep saying that to yourself over and over at nap time.

Yeah, that pretty much sounds like a boy. What a menace. But a cute one. Lyena is decidedly done with naps, and I miss it too. With him keeping you running after him, you'll lose those baby pounds in no time. LOL

Don't fret. It could be a false alarm. I too feared the worst recently when Lil's naps were here and there. But she ended up going back to her napping ways. Maybe he'll just miss one every now and then. I hope it works out. I do believe that naps do more good for mother than child!

Max can never read this, ever -- lest he get a few ideas. I think I'm in for it when he is older. Although if he keeps up his current weight gain, he may never walk -- curtailing the menace factor considerably.

I'm laughing at mathew telling you everything is dangerous. Jonathan went through that stage for a bit!. :) Miss You!

The day Landon decided he wasn't napping anymore was a day of despair. I should say we should get together and talk about it sometime, but our little boys are not invited! I can only begin to imagine the trouble our two would find to get into together.

Oh man, I feel for you, I really do. That's some gross stuff you've got going on there. I hope you're doing okay!

What a little rascal. I guess he's lucky he is such a cutie. Even if Matthew gives up on naps don't let him just yet. Enoch quit naps long before I was ready. He was still so tired, but would do anything to not fall asleep. So I started calling it "quiet time". I gave him a book and told him to lay in his bed and "read". I also told him that he didn't have to sleep, but if he wanted to close his eyes a little bit that was ok. I hope that works for you. Good luck. Every Mom needs a little daily break.

That is too funny (unless it is happening to you, I am sure). :-)
