Our cute little Emma had a dance performance last month. Her studio did Alice in Wonderland. She was an oyster. I didn't even remember that there were oysters in the show. We went to the library and rented the cartoon for the kids to watch. I'll tell you what, that show scared me when I was little and it still scares me - weird weird weird. Did you know the oysters get eaten by the walrus?! (Incidentally, a little girl in her class fell out of her second story window the day before the show and was just fine - only scratches and bruises. Talk about guardian angels, but that is a whole other story...)
So I'm thinking it's a little weird that she played an oyster, but she was the cutest little oyster there ever could be. She also received some critical acclaim as the only oyster whose tutu fell down around her knees. I had some tears as I watched her. She is just getting so big and sassy. I was a little worried that she would get out on stage and be freaked out by all the lights and people, but she did great. We gave her some flowers at the end of the show and she must have whacked about 7 passersby with them. All in all, it was a fabulous night!

Amanda, You are such a proud momma! She is gorgeous and I am confident she is an amazing dancing oyster. Isn't it fun to watch your little ones on stage? Chloe's a pro at her dance recitals now and they are always so much fun!
Your little Oyster is so cute. Sorry to come off so rude in my last post. Don't feel bad at all...it made me feel loved and missed that you were wanting to hear from me. Plus, what do I have to complain about??? You're the one with so much going on. I wanted to let you know about something I just discovered called Agave Nectar. It is a natural plant-based sweetener that has a very low glycemic index and is supposed to work well for those with diabetes. You probably already know about it, but if not check it out! h
Ok! Emma is the cutest Oyster I have ever seen!!!
