Welcome to Fall

Welcome to fall in these parts - it was 90 degrees one day and 40 degrees the next. Emma keeps asking me why it gets dark so early and why it is so cold. Amen! I really need to move somewhere tropical before it starts snowing!

Conference weekend brought bushels full of home-grown apples from my parent's trees and popcorn picnics on the family room floor.

We took our annual (when we live here anyway) trip to Gardner Village to see the Halloween witches. Good times. If you need help getting in the Halloween mood, this place will do the trick!

Perhaps my favorite moments of the day:

Emma feeling the witch up...

Emma checking out the witch's you know whats... She must take after her father.

I saw a picture of that large-bosomed witch and I think if I were all alone with her I would touch them myself to see exactly what they feel like Remember a certain person's large boobs? "Fascinating!"

He he he . . that is hilarious! I've thought about taking the kiddos there. Is it scary? Bradley is terrified of all the Halloween decor that is up all over the place. Kind of funny . . .
By the way, I'm not very excited for the snow either. :)

Great fall pics. I do kind of miss the leaves changing on the mountainside and the apples and such. We don't get as much of that here in Texas. I don't usually miss the snow too much though. I miss looking out the window on Christmas day and seeing a white Christmas -- and last year I had this crazy urge to go sledding. But alas, there was none of that slippery white stuff around to make us dust off the sleds in our garage for.

Oh Emma! You are too funny. Thanks for posting that. I seriously needed a laugh today. You've inspired me to go get apples today. I think I'll can some apple pie filling. YUM! It's a cold day perfect for heating up the kitchen.
