All I want for Christmas is a holday reprieve, if you please. The last week has been a blur of craziness.
Sophie with a cold that keeps her up much of the night crying in her sad little voice that has dropped about an octave - she sounds like a pack a day smoker.
Matthew with a sinus infection and temperature of 102 and then an allergic reaction to penicillin.
Emma with a cold and pink eye in both eyes. I have come to the conclusion that unless she consents to her eye drops there is no way on earth or heaven to get them in, even with both Jonny and I pinning her down and trying to pry her eyes open. And in the midst of all this Emma's endocrinologist called and said it is highly likely that Emma has Celiac Disease and we need to do a small bowel biopsy for a definitive diagnosis.
So really, all I want for Christmas is a bit of peace and quiet devoid of all drama and germs. However, I realize when I read posts like this and this, that things could be a lot crazier than they are and I am so glad for the little trials in my life!

I hope you received your well-deserved reprieve and all the kiddos are feeling better.
PS I guess you can be grateful that it's only under general anethesia that Jonny gropes you in public? I'm just saying, it could be worse!
I am with you that the holidays need more peace and quiet and less sickness! I hope you have had some of what you wished for! Lots of love sent your way.
Oh Heavens - you NEED a break - and I am sorry to say that I really don't see one in your future - I have found that a bath does help some - it takes you away for a brief moment, but then you have to go back and fix what you missed - the one benifit of them growing up - but they are so much cuter being little
UGG! Sounds exhausting. Why do things have to come in pairs?!
I read recently it's quite common to have celiacs and diabetes. the diabetes apparently a sign of celiacs...Good Luck!
Yes I still drink Dr. Pepper and this sounds like a reason I would really really need one. I don't know if it would work but in the future have Emma do her own drops. She might be a little young but if she can just put it int the corner of her eye with eyes shut and than blink she might be able to do it herself. I am praying for no Celiac!!!
I really hope everyone is feeling better and that Emma's biopsy comes back negative for Celiacs.
