Mr. Big Stuff

Our little Matthew is getting so big. He just got his 5th tooth, and he has a couple more in the works. He started to follow in Emma's grand tradition of bum scooting (yes, literally sliding along on her bottom and never crawling until after she walked) but he now does this little wormy movement across the ground that is half army crawl and half, well, worm.

He had his second haircut last week. I had chopped it once before - word to the wise, don't try to cut an infant's hair by yourself while said infant is in an excersaucer. You're going to end up with a really patchy job. So this time Jonny cut off about an inch and a half with the clippers. I think he looks like a dream and so much older. What a doll!

I was sooooo excited to dress him in his little Easter outfit on Sunday. I just wanted to eat him up. He obviously didn't get the whole Easter thing (but then who really does? Mostly now that I am a parent I just see it as another holiday where we go to a lot of work and someone - or some bunny - else gets the credit...) but he loved playing with the grass from his basket and spreading it all over the house.

PS If you look carefully to the left of where the kids are sitting in this picture you can see a vent on the side of the house. This would be one of the vents that the skunks pry off of our house and then climb into the crawl space under our house and take up residence. We know they are there when, in the middle of the night, we are awakened from a dead sleep because they spray under there and our whole house is unbearably skunky. We then call the animal control company, which is really more of an animal relocation company. I say this because by law they can only take the skunks a mile up the road and then let them go. Yes, we live in hippie-ville California. Bet the people who made that law have never had skunks under their houses...

Yay! Another post! How are your babies getting so big???? Oh, and FYI, I love in the Emma slide show the pic of her on my lap at the manicure place. Oh the memories...

Okay, enough of this phone tag business. We need to catch up! I miss you to pieces. I also ADORE the cute patio pic with the sweet potted flowers and plants. Thats my Amanda! :) I wish I could come visit.

Yes, holidays are so much more fun with kids! His little hair cut it so cute -- what precious little babies! Plus, I'm impressed you have flowers on your back porch...every year I think I need to do that. Um, the skunks...??? That's just wrong.
