A day at the beach...

Out of deference to my family and friends in frozen parts of the world, I try to refrain from posting too much "Oh my goodness, we went to the beach the other day and it was soooo beautiful!" type stuff. However, we did go to Carmel Beach the other day - one of our favorites - and it was so beautiful so how can I not say something about it? We spent a wonderful afternoon walking on the beach and exploring little caves and climbing up to spy on the Pebble Beach Golf Course. There is something about the ocean that I am just wild about - so rejuvenating and healing and dreamy... We are so grateful we have had the chance to live here and enjoy this beautiful area.

I'm a little jealous. Just a little. But more than jealous, I'm so thrilled you are living in CALIFORNIA! :) I love it.

i love the pictures! the cave exploring looks so fun - i'll have to reconsider my fear of the ocean (and it's related surroundings). :)

yay! I love the ocean too -- I'm so glad you live so close and get to enjoy it. Although, I would by lying if I said I wasn't jealous. I was enjoying our balmy 40 degree weather today! How's the potty training going?

It is one of mine and Cory's most favorite places. Amy is always asking me to come out there with her. If only money and children weren't an issue. sigh..... Don't you love the house that is right on the beach and the golf course. so cool. I also love to walk the streets and look at all of the "cottages". most favorite

Jenny - Jonny did the header using a picture we took at the Carmel Mission. I have no clue how...=)

Di - I just want to know how a girl with a total fear of the ocean ended up going to Hawaii on her honeymoon? Did you enjoy it at all?? Nothing like being surrounded on all sides by something you are afraid of!!

Heather - Potty training...it's painful to even think about! We are pretty much good to go with #1, but #2 we are still having lots of accidents with. Like maybe even 3-4 a day. Yeah, I'm gonna' need a sedative pretty soon here.

manders, for real right? well we definitely didn't scuba dive! (SHARKS remember?) we ate food, sat on the beach, and went to the temple, pineapple fields, PCC, hiking and other random land activities - waterfalls were beautiful! didn't swim though, scared of naeglaria and other parasitic infections. (i know, i'm a total freak!):) we met sheryl crow the day we were at Waimea Falls Park - she was filming Soak up the Sun. :) dan played in the ocean without me - it was funny.
