Sophie the Sweet

Is there any new way to say something along the lines of "Oh my goodness - time has gone so fast - how is my baby so big?"? Because I know I've said that a zillion times, but really? My Sophie baby is almost 10 months old and I kind of wish I could freeze time for a little while and just soak her up. Except I would freeze it maybe next week because she is one sick little bugger the last couple of weeks and is not a happy camper.

Our biggest news with her is that she is NOT a bum scooter! If you never saw Matthew or Emma get around, it went a little something like this

That's it. No crawling, just scooting. My Grandma Ruby saw Emma doing it and said, "That's what I used to do when I was little!" It's our family legacy I suppose. So we are pretty fascinated with the fact that Miss Sophie does not appear to be a bum scooter - not that there is anything wrong with sliding along on your bum. It just looks a little like our old Golden Retriever who used to slide down the hill in our backyard dragging her rear end on the ground to take care of business back there. I digress.

So Miss Sophie is a busy little beaver and gets around faster than our other kids did and here she is:

Tunneling...We've all said it before - why do we buy our kids toys when they are happiest with cardboard boxes?

Helping with the dishes...

Climing the stairs and giving me a heart attack...

Playing "So Big"...

and Eating my houseplants...

Not Pictured...

Eating cat food. Repeatedly. I didn't get a picture because I was too busy trying to get it all out of her mouth. I'm just not as laid back as NieNie. Although I would love to be!

I can't believe how old our babies are getting...Sophie is just as cute as can be!!! I also loved the bum scooting video of Matthew. Miranda is a crawler too, and Bri wasn't so this is new to me too!
I love Sophie's "so big" game, how stinkin' cute is that?

Really I love the fact that Brayden is doing everything so early while Dan is here, but man are things going to be a pain in the butt when he is gone having a toddler that is under a year - yeah - the dish washer, the dryer, the cat food will be behind the baby gate - he is already into the bookshelves and he loves the table cloth with the video phone - maybe I can just keep him in his walker forever - do you think that would work :)?!

Let's agree to freeze them at this age for just a little while longer. I am loving this age and would love it even more if we could get eight hours of sleep. Sophie is a dollie!!!

I'm bummed that video is unavailable right now, sounds hilarious. Sophie is a cutie, and I also can't believe how fast she grew up! She's practically a woman!
