Last weekend in an effort to escape the crazy heat (who builds houses with no air conditioning anyway? People in the 1950's I guess...) we went to the beach with our cute friends, the Tuckers. The Tuckers are leaving us next week and we are so sad! We have been blessed to know them.

Matthew had his first taste of the sand. I didn't even try to stop him - I just figured it was something he had to do. After the first time, he didn't try it again.

Emma had such a blast running from the waves and even got in the freezing cold water with Jonny.

In other news, I ran my face into a door jam today and gave myself a bit of a mini shiner. How did I manage to do that, you ask? I have no idea. Now all we can do is pray. Pray that our children get Jonathan's sense of coordination and spatial orientation instead of mine...

How fun! I love the Tuckers! So sad that they are moving. The girls became my little buddies. I'm glad you got to do something fun with them before they leave.

oh Amanda haha! you make me laugh like no other! And, of course, the only reason I can laugh without feeling guilty is because I too, have your sense of coordination or lack thereof!:) yay for us!

Oh, I miss the beach! And you guys, of course! Emma's pretty funny, isn't she? I miss the warm days of Monterey (what is it, in the 70's?) So. Utah's idea of warm is 108 (without the beach).

Amanda!!! I saw your comment on Amanda Orrock's blog and was excited to see that you have one too!!! How in the world are you? Your family sure is growing! What cute kids you have and I think Emma is just hilarious! What part of Cali are you in? I live in Sacramento now with my husband and daughter, Brianna. Anyway, I think of you often and was so happy to see that you had a blog so I could catch up on your life.

I love reading about your cute family. I had to laugh about Matthew trying the sand. And you know I laughed about your mini-shiner because I could just envision it happening and all of us with ILS (Inappropriate Laughter Syndrome) cracking up about it. Love you!
